Sony 3G Tablet S and P Going to Japan October 28th

Bigadgets: Sony to Release 3G-Enabled Tablet S and P in Japan

Sony Tablet S and Tablet P 3G-enabled versions are expected to hits the Japanese market by the end of this month, about six weeks after the WiFi-only variant were introduced by the maker. The 3G version tablets will released in Japan on October 28th and will be available on Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo. The 3G-enabled Tablet S will have model number SGPT113JP / S while the 3G version of the Tablet P will have part number SGPT211JP / S.  Both of these tablets will running under Android 3.2 Honeycomb operating system and come with DLNA compatibility.
Sony Tablet S has a 9.4-inch slate with 1280×800 pixels resolution screen display and powered by Nvidia Tegra 2 SoC (system-on-a-chip) chipset at 1GHz, and equipped with a 5MP rear and a 0.3MP front facing camera, Bluetooth 2.1 and 802.11 b/g/n wireless connectivity, special remote capability which is enable to control HDTV and other devices, and also a non-removable Li-Ion 5000mAh battery. Moreover, the Sony Tablet S will also get support for Sony’s Video and Music Unlimited services, which capable to access a wide range of video, music, and e-book stores, and also for the PlayStation service.

The Tablet S use a rather unique design, it has two 5.5-inch folding displays with 1024×480 resolution. There is a special button that allows users to switch between a mode that stretches the images across both screen or the mode that allow to watch only one side of the screen. Sony Tablet P has the same 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 SoC chipset, but comes with just 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, a 0.3MP front-facing camera,and a micro-SD slot.
Sony still not mentioned about the price yet, neither about the appearance in Europe or the US.
