AT & T Inc. can lower the price acquired T-Mobile Inc., if prompted regulators as too expensive.
It was reported Bloomberg by quoting three people who know directly of the merger contract.
AT & T will pay less than the initial deal value of U.S. $ 39 billion if regulators ask for the sale of assets that exceed 20 percent of that figure or about U.S. $ 7.8 billion.
AT & T out of the deal and pay a breakup fee if requested concession to 40 percent of that value.
On 31 August, the U.S. government sued to scuttle the purchase of AT & T to T-Mobile for fear that harm competition in the wireless tariff so that it becomes expensive.
AT & T, based in Dallas, United States, agreed to compensate owners of T-Mobile, Deutsche Telekom AG, amounting to U.S. $ 3 billion in cash, the wireless spectrum, and roaming agreements if the deal did not materialize.
AT & T and Deutsche Telekom could not immediately be reached for comment on reports Bloomberg.
