Bigadgets: Galaxy Nexus Specification Unveiled
The Galaxy Nexus will heading to Japanese mobile phone carrier NTT DOCOMO, the carriers confirmed that they will be adding the new Google phone to their offering. According to the leaked images that showing a photo of the new device, the series of specs of the upcoming smartphone is unveiled. From the leaked image, we can now more or less be sure of what the third generation Nexus handset will look like.
The Galaxy Nexus is expected to made its way to the market with a large 4.7-inch touchscreen display, and packing a fast 1.2GHz dual-core application processor – the application processor is a Texas Instruments OMAP4460 chip. The screen is a Super AMOLED panel, capable of delivering a 1280 x 720 pixel HD resolution, a NFC capabilities, and will come in 16GB and 32GB storage. The Galaxy Nexus will pack a 5-megapixel photo snapper with support for full HD video recording, along with a 1.3MP camera on the front, which should be good to making video calls.
The new device also features a 14.4Mbps HSDPA connectivity, along with dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth capabilities, as well as built-in GPS receiver. Not to mention the new Ice Cream Sandwich Operating System, that was just confirmed as being the Android 4.0 version, and will bring along into the new handset’s features.
The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Nexus is rumored heading into NTT DOCOMO under the carrier’s NEXT series, and that the Ice Cream Sandwich Smartphone will be released on November 20th.
